What Are The Most Popular Mattresses for Sale in Canada?

Shopping for a new mattress can be fun and exciting. It can also be frustrating and confusing.

The pleasure comes when you find just the right mattress for your needs, but with so many different brands, kinds, and sizes, it is hard to know where to begin.

That’s why my friend Kate recently asked me, what are the most popular mattress brands for sale in Canada?

I began this search last July when I moved in with my girlfriend and found incomplete or inaccurate information. I was looking for the best mattress brands in Canada because I needed a bigger mattress for both of us.

It took a lot of time to unwind the various articles and to figure out what would work best for us and our particular quark: we both have an extremely good sense of smell, and many of the reviews listed “new mattress smells” as a problem.

I built this guide from the research we both did to find the best quality mattress that would work with your budget.

Most Popular Brands of Mattresses For Sale in Canada

The mattresses available in Canada are of Canadian and U.S. manufacturing. There are many brands to pick.

The type, quality, and price will vary, and it is up to you and your needs to figure out what will work best for your bed. Mattresses brands are as follows:

What kinds of Mattresses are Available in Canada?

Whether you are shopping in North America or Canada, the most popular styles tend to cross the border. These mattresses can be found in the stores as well as online. In terms of pricing, the two most popular styles are very similar, and it is up to you to figure out what your body needs to get a good night’s sleep.

Innerspring Mattresses

The innerspring mattress is the traditional mattress. It has been the standard mattress since the 1900s, and as the years have progressed, there have been many improvements and changes to reach the ideal comfort for the people of today.

Memory Foam Mattress

The memory foam mattress is relatively new. Manufacturing of the mattress began in the 1960s, but there were varying degrees of quality and comfort. Today, their making consists primarily of polyurethane and other chemicals to aid in creating a comfortable and firm mattress to be slept on. The more modern mattresses are high-density and react to body heat.

Gel Memory Foam Mattress

Manufacturing of the Gel Memory Foam Mattress entered the mattress in 2011, similar to the regular foam mattress; the added gel helps keep the sleeper cool throughout the night. The gel added to the foam mattress keeps the sleeper cool, and the foam provides the support for the sleeper.

Latex Foam Mattress

Latex foam mattresses provide the sleeper with the firm support of high-grade foam with the natural support and give of latex. A latex mattress can provide precise ship and back alignment as it conforms to a human body.

Hybrid Mattress

A hybrid mattress is a combination innerspring-foam mattress. The innerspring provides natural support for the body while the foam conforms and cushions the human body.

Final Thoughts

I hope you have found the guide I built helpful. Breaking the types of mattresses down by brand helped me understand what type of mattress I could find where and look more deeply into pricing. I didn’t have much money to spend, but I knew I needed something that would last.

I also narrowed down the type of mattress that would fit my needs now and in the future. I hope the next mattress sale Canada find you your best night’s sleep. Please comment if you have any questions.
